Tennessee Titans 2023 Straight-Up Overview
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill should be one-hundred percent before the season starts. But even if Tannehill is back to playing his best football, it’s difficult seeing the Titans’ offense having much more success than it did in 2022.
Tennessee’s top draft pick, Northwestern offensive tackle Peter Skoronski, will help. But Skoronski plays on a line that ranks, by at least some estimations, as the worst in the NFL.
The problem is that if the O-line is the worst in the league, the Titans won’t have much success moving the football. The offense continues to rely on Derrick Henry’s rushing ability. So if the line is a disaster, Tennessee will struggle.
The Titans will struggle even more if Treylon Burks doesn’t to WR1 status. Burks played okay a rookie last season. He must step it up big time if the Titans hope to score with teams like Jacksonville in their division, and the Chiefs and Bengals in the AFC.
When it comes to Tennessee’s defense, the unit is fantastic against the rush. But the Titans ranked thirty-second versus the pass last season. Struggles on offense and defense will lead to a horrendous 5-12 record.
