Why Bet on the Florida Gators?

The Gators have rolled this season, averaging 440.5 total yards per game on their way to 31.8 points per contest.

Florida QB Anthony Richardson isn’t great at passing the ball, Richardson completed less than 54% of his passes during the regular season, but he’s excellent at rushing the pigskin. Richardson averages 6.3 yards per carry. He rushed for 9 touchdowns.

Running back Montrell Johnson Jr. rushed for 827 yards and scored 10 rushing TDs. The Gators average 213 rushing yards per game, ranking sixteenth.

Although the Gators upset one of the best teams in the nation, the Utah Utes in their first game, Florida ended up 6 and 6. The reason is because as the season continued, Florida’s defense got worse.

The Gators allow 417 yards per game, ranking an awful one-hundred and fourth in the nation. Opponents pass for 123.7 and rush for 177.3 per game. Florida allows 28.8 points each contest. Senior linebacker Amari Burney leads the team in both sacks, 4, and picks, 2. The Gators had 9 takeaways during the season.

Why Bet on the Oregon State Beavers?

The Beavers’ offense surprised everyone this season. Nobody expected Oregon State to average as many yards and as many points as they did.

At the end of the regular season, Oregon State was amassing 400 yards per game on average. The Beavers relied on a rushing attack that went for 199.8 yards per game. Oregon State scored 32.4 points each game. Quarterback Ben Gulbranson took over for Chase Nolan in the middle of the season and never looked back.

Gulbranson didn’t post eye-popping stats, but he is an efficient QB that doesn’t make a ton of mistakes. The Beavers’ offense had just 5 turnovers during the regular season.

The most surprising aspect of the 2022 Oregon State Beavers is their defense. Most expected Oregon State to send one of the worst defenses in the Pac-12 to the field.

Instead, Oregon State’s D rocked. The Beavers ranked thirty first in both yards allowed and points allowed per game. Oregon State gave up 342.3 yards per game on average.

The Beavers allowed 21.4 points per game. Opponents averaged just 114 rushing yards each contest. Also, Oregon State produced 12 takeaways.

Florida vs. Oregon State Expert Betting Predictions

It’s doubtful many Florida Gators football fans make the trip out west to root on their team. The same can’t be said for the Oregon State Beavers.

The Beavers upset rival Oregon 38-34 in the Civil War, their final regular season game. The reason it’s important to note the upset over the Ducks is because Oregon faced a better passing dual-threat quarterback in that game.

Bo Nix was a Heisman Trophy contender for most of the season. Anthony Richardson is a great rusher but he doesn’t pass the ball all that well. Because of Richardson’s limitations as a passer, the Beavers’ D should rock.

The line is massive, yes, but the Oregon State Beavers are rolling, going 6-0 ATS in their last 6. The Beavs finish their season with another win and cover.
