Why Bet on the Los Angeles Clippers?

The race to the top of the Western Conference is tight, and the Clippers are one of the teams that have a shot of leading the pack before the year ends. Head coach Tyronn Lue led his team to a 19-4 record, and enough pace to keep the Sixers vigilant from start to finish.

The LA Clippers hold some of the worst offensive statistics right now. They have a league-worst 107.6 points per game and a sub-par 46.0% shooting percentage. Although they do a little better from deep at 36.9%, we should see this side of the team producing positive results given their current lineup. Paul George leads the team in scoring, averaging 23.39 points per game. Kawhi Leonard holds the second-best scoring record at 15.33 points per game, but load management limited him to 12 games thus far.

Defense is where the team makes up for poor offensive stats. The Clippers limit opponents to 107.5 points per game on 45.1% shooting. These are two top-four defensive figures in the league right now. Rebounding is also a strong suit of the squad, averaging 54.1 boards per game. Ivica Zubac fronts this state as he averages 10.71 rebounds per game.

Why Bet on the New Orleans Pelicans?

The Sixers are one of the more impressive teams this December. Head coach Doc Rivers did well to transform this team into a top playoff contender since taking over the program. Although they have to wade through a collection of competitive teams in the East, Philadelphia has enough firepower to produce competitive contests against the best of the best.

Checking out the hosts’ offense, they average 111.2 points on 47.3% shooting. The squad does particularly well from deep and drains 38.2% of their three-point attempts. Philadelphia capitalizes its chances from the line as well, hitting 81.7% of free throws. Joel Embiid takes the scoring helm with a staggering 32.55 points per game in 22 contests, while Tyrese Maxey and James Harden provide enough scoring support and average over 20 points per game.

This is a clash between two defense-heavy sides. The Sixers hold a top-two opponent points per game record, limiting teams to 107.4 points per game on 46.0% shooting. They also have the best opponent three-point percentage record right now, holding teams to 32.6% from deep.

Clippers vs. 76ers Expert Betting Prediction

The Clippers have a healthy starting lineup to play against the Sixers. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are expected to take point on offense. However, John Wall’s spark off the bench is questionable for Friday’s game as he is listed day-to-day. Even so, the LA side has a good shot at covering the spread or even pulling off the underdog win.

Meanwhile, the Sixers on home advantage are tough to crack. We anticipate tight defense coming from both sides, but the hosts not having their second-best scorer on the floor, Tyrese Maxey, on the floor might introduce several lapses. Nevertheless, they remain the better squad on paper.
