2022 Crayon 301 Recap

Last year, Ambetter Health sponsored the 301 at New Hampshire Speedway. Christopher Bell won the race in 2022, which is one of the reasons, the main reason, he’s the chalk to get it done on Sunday.

Chase Elliott finished second behind Bell. Underdog Bubba Wallace finished third followed by Martin Truex Jr. in fourth, Kevin Harvick in fifth, and Denny Hamlin in sixth.

Brad Keselowski finished seventh and Ross Chastain finished eighth. Daniel Suarez got it done in ninth while Kurt Busch finished tenth.

Top Choice to Win the 2023 Crayon 301

Kyle Busch has gotten his wheels underneath him. The former Joe Gibbs driver switched teams to Richard Childress for this NASCAR Season.

Early in the season, Busch didn’t struggle, but he had yet to get his footing. But in the last couple of months, Kyle has excelled.

Busch shows 7 top ten finishes in the last 7 events. He has finished fifth in back-to-back races, the Chicago Street Race and at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Kyle won at World Wide Technology Raceway.

Kyle finished twelfth in this last year, but he has been much better over dirt courses and street type races this year. Busch is a great play to win the Crayon 301.

Second Choice to Win the 2023 Crayon 301

Martin Truex Jr. finished fourth in this in 2022. The Joe Gibbs driver has picked up his game in recent weeks, taking the checkered flag at Sonoma and then finishing second in Nashville.

But in the last two races, Truex Jr. hasn’t gotten anywhere close to the top 20. Martin finished thirty-second at the Chicago Street Race. Then last Sunday, the +650 choice finished twenty-ninth at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Truex Jr. can turn it around. Ah, but the odds are light. If you don’t mind the +650, consider backing Martin and his crew to put everything together enough for the checkered flag.

Third Choice to Win the 2023 Crayon 301

Christopher Bell won the 2022 Ambetter Health 301. This year, though, Christopher isn’t driving well enough to warrant a look for the top spot.

If the odds were better, he’d be a viable play. But at +550, Christopher offers underlay odds. No doubt, Bell, like teammate Martin Truex Jr., can get the victory. So if you don’t mind the odds, consider.

We do mind the odds. So Bell isn’t our top pick.

Top Underdog to Win the 2023 Crayon 301

Keselowski’s seventh place finish in this event last year should give his crew and him confidence they can get it done on Sunday. The +2200 underdog choice has begun to rev it up.

Brad finished sixth at Atlanta last weekend. He finished eleventh at Nashville three races back. On Sunday, Keselowski sits in his car and races over a track where he’s had some success. At +2200 odds, Brad Keselowski is one of the best underdog plays on the board.
