2022 Fiesta Bowl // Michigan Wolverines vs. TCU Horned Frogs

  • When: Saturday, December 31, 2022, 4:25 PM ET
  • Where: State Farm Stadium, Glendale, AZ
  • TV: ESPN
  • College Football Odds: Michigan (-7.5) // TCU (+7.5)

For the second straight year, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has his alma mater in the hunt for the national title. The Wolverines went a perfect 13-0 this season thanks to a ton of winning experience and the ability to shut their opponents down late with a plus-186 point differential in the second half of contests this season. Running back Donovan Edwards (216 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns against Ohio State) is a beast out of the backfield and will need more huge performances in place of fellow stud back Blake Corum.

Meanwhile, TCU became just the second Big 12 team after Oklahoma to make the CFP despite losing a heartbreaking contest against Kansas State for the conference title a couple of weeks ago. Max Duggan, the runner-up in the Heisman voting earlier this month, just does it all under center, throwing for 30 touchdowns this season and having racked up 25 rushing TDs for his career. Texas Christian’s Cinderella story is certainly inspiring, but the team may be in for a reality check when it takes on a dominant Michigan program.

2022 Fiesta Bowl Betting Pick: Michigan wins, 31-27.

2022 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl // Georgia Bulldogs vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

As the virtual home team at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia definitely earned its right to be in this position for another title run. Like Michigan, the Bulldogs also went undefeated this season and had much more convincing blowouts against the best programs in the country such as Tennessee, Oregon, and LSU. Georgia’s outstanding defense will be key for its bid for a repeat, and star defensive lineman Jalen carter came back just in time from an injury to put up six tackles for loss, three sacks, and a pair of forced fumbles.

Countering the Bulldogs’ imposing defense will be Ohio State’s own brand of a prolific offense run by another Heisman candidate in quarterback C.J. Stroud. The third-placer in the Heisman voting has been aided by spectacular play from his dependable wideout Marvin Harrison Jr., who has 969 receiving yards (16.0 YPC) and 11 receiving TDs as the program’s next big star in the mold of his NFL-Hall-of-Fame father’s legacy. The Buckeyes didn’t have any answers for Michigan’s stout D during their only loss of the season and may run into another wall in the form of Georgia’s defense to stifle their return to the national championship ga

2022 Peach Bowl Betting Pick: Georgia wins, 24-16.
