Why Bet on the Los Angeles Chargers?

The Los Angeles Chargers are in a tricky situation. As Brandon Staley takes over as head coach despite having very little NFL experience, he can introduce a fresh perspective that can eventually lift the team. There’s very little chance that Justin Herbert makes his way to the field in this clash, which means the Chargers will have to look at other options.

Next in line to play the quarterback position is Chase Daniel and Easton Stick, and both are viable options that can aid the offensive line. Additionally, rookie Rashawn Slater could find his way into the mix and start at the left tackle position.

Defensively, the Chargers change from a 4-3 to a 3-4, and this transition may or may not yield good results for the team. But at this point, it would be good to introduce fresh strategies into the Chargers’ system. Rookie cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. impressed everyone in training camp and could make his way to the starting lineup this Saturday. It all boils down to how the defense copes up with the Rams’ attacking unit.

Why Bet on the Los Angeles Rams?

Meanwhile, Rams fans will have to wait for the regular season before they could see Matthew Stafford in a game setting, with Sean McVay having clearly expressed his commitment to not playing the quarterback in the preseason. In short, expect Bryce Perkins to play most of the snaps under center.

It’s going to be interesting to watch how the Rams utilize its offensive tools, as they have Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, and DeSean Jackson at their disposal. Three more drafts, including Tutu Atwell, fortify the list of receivers. Ultimately, there’s plenty of healthy competition for the skill positions, which gives the team more depth.

Previewing the defense, the Rams get more help from new defensive coordinator Raheem Morris. Jordan Fuller looks on pace to start his rookie season on a positive note and rookie linebacker Ernest Jones gets a shot at more playing time. Furthermore, high expectations surround Donte Deayon and we look forward to watching him earn a starting position.

Chargers vs. Rams Expert Betting Predictions

Betting on NFL preseason games can be tricky due to the multiple roster changes and the fact that winning isn’t always the team’s goal. With the data we have before us, it’s safe to say that the Los Angeles Chargers have the advantage coming into the game. Looking at their current situation and the lineup that the team is willing to play, they stand good chances of winning here. On the contrary, the Rams aren’t willing to go all out in this game despite having Stafford at quarterback. But, they do have a creative coach that can formulate new ways to score, so covering the spread shouldn’t be much of a problem.
