2021 NASCAR Bank of America Roval 400 Recap

Hendrick driver and Elliott teammate Kyle Larson started tenth and moved all the way up to first to take the checkered flag. Following Larson, Tyler Reddick crossed the line in second and Chris Buescher finished third.

Fourth place went to Kyle Busch. Kyle teammate Denny Hamlin finished fifth. Chase Elliott, the NASCAR Cup standings leader heading into the Bank of America Roval 400, finished twelfth.

Top Choice to Win the 2022 Bank of America Roval 400

Tyler Reddick finished twenty-eighth at Talladega. But before the terrible finish over Ricky Bobby’s favorite track, Tyler had won at Texas Motor Speedway. Reddick finished third at Darlington, thirty-fifth at Kansas, and twenty-fifth at Bristol. For sure, Reddick and his crew are used to picking it up after bad finishes.

On Sunday, Tyler drives over a track where he’s had some success. At the odds, the second choice in the betting is more than playable to cross the finish line first.

Second Top Choice to Win the 2022 Bank of America Roval 400

The 2021 Bank of America Roval 400 winner didn’t race well at Talladega. Kyle Larson crossed the line in eighteenth place. Kyle must pick it up to have any shot of making it to the Round of 8. Heading into Sunday’s race, Larson is sixth. Kyle could easily lose sixth place, heck, he could fall past eigth, with another bad race.

Expect Larson to pick up his game. Kyle knows what he must do. So the third choice is worth a look over the favorite if you don’t think Reddick gets it done.

Third Top Choice to Win the 2022 Bank of America Roval 400

The chalk sure drove well at Talladega. But although Chase Elliott jumped up to the top spot, it doesn’t mean he’ll win at Charlotte. Chase didn’t drive well at the 2021 Bank of America Roval 400. Not only that, but outside of the win at Talladega, Elliott hasn’t won a race during the NASCAR Playoffs.

The favorite and his crew know the most prudent action is to ensure a top ten finish. Expect the chalk and his crew to deliver with a top ten instead of looking to take the checkered flag.

Top Underdog Choice to Win the 2022 Bank of America Roval 400

Sunday’s top underdog to win the Bank of America Roval 400 offers better odds than he should. Yes, Buescher finished twenty-fifth at Talladega. But Chris won the Bass Pro Shops Night Race as a huge underdog.

He also finished third in this, which means a driver who has won a NASCAR Playoff race this season heads to a track that where he’s had massive success. The top underdog can surprise at overlay odds.
